There is an opportunity for you to learn more about your bike, how it works and what to do to keep it in a safe working condition.
The Basic Maintenance session would be for around 2 hours for up to a maximum of 4 people, giving you the opportunity to learn the skills to carry out the following checks and repairs:
- Safety Checking routine
- General Care, maintenance, lubrication hints and tips
- Puncture identification and repair
- Tips on how to get yourself home if something goes wrong whilst out riding.
The Intermediate maintenance session will be limited to 2 or 3 people per session, thus ensuring you have the opportunity to "have a go" on your own bike. These sessions will be longer in duration, allowing you to perform the more complex processes involved.
The session could include the following:
- Checking Brake operation
- Adjusting Brakes
- How to replace Brakes blocks
- Adjusting Gears
- Checking and lubricating Brake and Gear Cables
- Checking and lubricating Drive mechanism
