Are you interested in tracing your family history?

Would you like to discover the history of your family, and create your own family tree but don’t know where to start? Or maybe you have already begun and now would like a bit of help or just a bit of inspiration to keep going? Or maybe you have been carrying out research into your distant relatives for many years, and would now like to share your knowledge with enthusiastic newcomers?

Wherever you are on the family history path, this group is for you. It's a very friendly group of people, with varying levels of knowledge and expertise regarding genealogy. Some are experts, some are total beginners. So this is a self-help group, ie we all help each other and have fun in the process.

We meet from 11am to 1pm, on the third Tuesday of each month (although this year because of room availability, some months it will be the second Tuesday). The venue is the Lymm library, in the Sanctuary Hub.

The meetings are a mixture of chatting about genealogical matters and actively carrying out research. And all members are welcome to give a short presentation on any genealogical topic that they think might interest other members.

You will need to bring your computer, smartphone or tablet to research your tree online. The cost is £20 for the full year (12 sessions, 2 hours each) which covers the room hire. That’s less than £2 per session.
